Fifth Ave Repaving Project

*** 5th Avenue Shops are OPEN for business ***

Construction has begun on 5th Ave between Scottsdale Rd and Indian School Rd. The asphalt on 5th Ave has reached the end of its service life and must be replaced. Construction work will occur in several phases between Aug. 9 and Sept. 16.

Each phase will begin with the removal of the existing asphalt and brick pavers. After all of the existing roadway has been removed, the surface will be graded and new pavement will and striping will be put in place. The existing curb and gutter will not be affected.

Each phase will take approximately a week to complete. During this time, the segment of roadway will be closed to all vehicular traffic and parking restrictions will be in place. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected by construction. Each Phase will begin on Monday morning and traffic control will be down by Saturday morning.

We do not anticipate any delays, but as always when you are dealing with existing sub-surface conditions, there may be small deviations from the schedule in order to complete the work.

Work will occur Monday through Friday between the hours of 5 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Saturday mornings until 10 a.m. All construction work will be performed by MR-Tanner under contract to the City of Scottsdale.

Thank you in advance for your patience during construction. We apologize for any inconvenience this work may cause.
