Small Group – Hot Air Balloon Flights in Phoenix / Scottsdale
Here at Destination Balloon Rides, we specialize in hot air balloon flights for small groups. This means that even when you book this option, you’ll never be in a group of more than six people in size, offering a unique, intimate experience you’ll remember for years to come.
There will be plenty of room in the basket for everyone to be comfortable without bumping into others. Whether you have two or six people, and you don’t want to do a Private Balloon Flight, this is the option for you. A hot air balloon ride is not only fun and exciting, but it is also the best way to see the desert and tour the valley. Sunrise and sunset flights are available!
You’ll check-in at a predetermined location, participate (if desired) in the balloon set up and inflation process, and learn the science behind setting up the balloon. Then, it’s an easy climb into the basket and we’re off! Take a 45-minute to one-hour flight, pack up, and enjoy a champagne or mimosa toast to celebrate your amazing experience. Then we transport you back to the pick-up location. You’ll love looking at all the pictures you took!

Our private hot air balloon flights are the best way to view the beauty of the vast desert around Phoenix. Our private hot air balloon flight is for up to two people, and you’ll all have plenty of room in the basket without bumping into one another or dealing with obstructed views. You won’t miss a thing!
You can expect to check-in at a predetermined location and participate in setting up/inflating the balloon (if you want to). The process is pretty cool, and it’s fun to learn about how it all works!
We’ll then float over Phoenix for 45 minutes to an hour, giving you plenty of time to take lots of pictures, enjoy in-flight champagne service, and make priceless memories. Once we land, leave the packing up to us as you toast your experience with champagne or a mimosa before we transport you back to the pick-up location.

Shawn Wix, originally from Delaware, became interested in ballooning while spending winters in Phoenix. Starting out with a well-known local commercial balloon company as ground crew, Shawn developed a love for ballooning. Soon after deciding to take the plunge, it didn’t take him long to meet and exceed his goals of becoming a commercial balloon pilot. Since then he has logged over 500 hours flying in Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico. Flying whenever and wherever he can, his love for ballooning continues to grow!
