The history of the “Fratelli la Bufala” begins in Eboli, a small town near Salerno, thanks to the immense passion of a father who produced a delicious buffalo mozzarella so good and renowned that his three sons Giuseppe, Antonio and Gennaro were called by everyone Fratelli La Bufala (The Buffalo Brothers).
At his father’s untimely death, the three brothers chose different paths. Giuseppe moved to New York, where he opened a big Pizzeria; Antonio moved to Madrid to open a Flamenco school, while Gennaro moved to Paris to follow his dream to become a painter.
After the success of the pizzeria in New York, Antonio opened his first pizzeria in Madrid and Gennaro in Milan.
In 2003 they restarted their father’s business and created the Fratelli La Bufala brand, which has made Fratelli La Bufala a market leader in Italy and the world, with exponential growth in a few years.
The restyling of the historical Mergellina restaurant in Naples marked a new retail strategy that gives value to locations such as Milan, Rome and now Scottsdale, Arizona with the introduction of flagship stores and focuses on the “La Bufala” concept in all its declinations.
