Mountain Shadows Resort Scottsdale is a luxury destination located in Paradise Valley, Arizona. Originally built in 1959, the resort was rebuilt and reopened in 2017 after being purchased by Westroc Hospitality and Woodbine Development Corporation. The resort is now part of the Benchmark, Pyramid Luxury & Lifestyle collection. Mountain Shadows is known for its distinctive design, timeless luxury, and stunning desert surroundings. It features various amenities such as monthly wine and dining dinners, Spirited Sipping Seminars, complimentary fitness classes, live music on Friday and Saturday nights, and art exhibitions.

The resort’s history dates back to January 16, 1959, when it first opened its doors. It quickly became a success among international travelers, visiting families, Hollywood stars, and local residents who purchased private homes with special services and scenic views. Mountain Shadows gained further fame when it was used as the backdrop for the television show “The Brothers Brannagan.” In 1981, Marriott purchased the resort and used it as an extension of the Camelback Inn across the street when that hotel was full. The resort closed in 2004 and was demolished in 2014 before being rebuilt from the ground up.
