A match made in the Mediterranean. Victor Belmonte of Sicily wed Ola Marie of Calabria in 1931. As Chef Sheila was a young girl, she often spent time with her grandmother, Ola cooking in the kitchen. Inspired by her heritage of Southern Italy and a tribute to her grandparents, Sheila wanted to incorporate the dishes she grew up eating.
Influenced by the bounty of the Mediterranean and the agriculture of the region, Chef Sheila’s menu of Southern Italian cuisine showcases bold flavors of tomato, fine olive oil, fresh seafood, homemade pastas and the fragrance of herbs and spices that have come to define Italian cuisine.
