Rehab Burger Therapy

Rehab Burger Therapy was founded on the idea that everyone deserves a break from the daily grind. A belief that it’s actually therapeutic to slow down and celebrate life’s simple pleasures like the company of friends, great music and a ridiculously delicious meal. You don’t have to be a strung out rock star or jaded gazillionare to benefit from this sort of therapy. All of us need a place we can escape to and get properly treated.

Created by three friends that needed some rehabilitation of their own, Rehab Burger Therapy is a story about friends searching for that “good o’l day’s vibe” and finding it’s been right in front of them the whole time. A story of fate and convictions that began back in 1994 when Denise, Ken and Wiley were all recruited to nurture a fledgling pizza joint a block south of Rehab in Old Town Scottsdale.

Denise a proud hockey mom and a restaurant aficionado, always inspires the best in people and relentlessly pursues authenticity in the “now”, Ken a culinary graduate passionate about “real” food has a history of winning that spans his culinary carrier as well as his days as a pro-ball player while Wiley, a rock guitarist that left home to tour the world at the age of 17 understands anything is possible with hard work and a dream. Their unique mix of passions, perspectives and experiences quickly cultivated core values that would raise the then mom and pop restaurant to a cult like status. Over a period of 18 years the pizza joint would grow to 2, then 4, then 8 locations. The trio secured executive positions and had forged a strong bond over the years but somehow missed operating a smaller more spontaneous and personal restaurant. They hungered for a restaurant focused on the art of serving guests but had been served something entirely different…

During a BBQ get together in the summer of 2011 the trio was enjoying a beautiful day with great food, music and friends reminiscing about “the good o’l days”. The days they participated in something authentic, something exciting, and something that inspired them. Feeling euphoric from the great food and conversation Denise noted the BBQ was therapeutic, Ken standing at the grill with a surfboard hanging behind him and a burger in his hand smiled and said my kind of rehab as Wiley uttered the words rehab burger therapy? Then it hit em like a fat burger in the face, the whole world could use a little therapy. The time had come to CHECK IN @ REHAB.

Rehab Burger Therapy opened its doors on May, 29th 2012 and is excited to have your attention right now. We invite you to sit back, relax and enjoy a refreshing drink with a ridiculously delicious meal. We call that “getting the proper treatment”. This restaurant was built by friends for friends so you could say friends are included. We want to hear your suggestions, feed your hunger and earn your smiles!
