Visiting Arizona and our local friends here strongly recommended this place for a nice dinner. We went on a Monday night 6pm and there was no wait but we did have reservations. One couple frequents Tommy Vs so often that when we walked in, the bartender immediately started making their drinks so that before we were seated at a table, they already had their regular cocktails in hand! Impressive ! The owner came over to joke and chat with them too. We skipped appetizers due to a late lunch we had had and went straight from cocktails to main dishes. Everyone loved their choices. Chicken Parmesan plates were practically licked clean. One couple split the Bolognese and probably wished they hadn't and I had the special which was Salmon and haddock a la Vodka. So delicious with huge chunks of tasty fish perfectly sauces over pasta and sprinkled with peas. I also ordered a Mediterranean salad which was wonderful and so generous with the olives. Table bread tasted homemade crunchy and perfect. We ended with sharing cherry gelato, cheesecake, cannolis and tres leches. All were really good. Cannoli was a little too sweet and crunchy for me but the rest were so yummy. Our server was really good but felt a little rushed for me. Very serious and not playful. But we had everything we needed and dirty plates were picked up fast. Overall, nice ambience, lighting with string lights on windows made it feel celebratory. Wish it was in Texas so we could try it again. But if you're reading this, count this place for one of your upcoming nights out.
